Karthick: Hope to be back with a bang: As the son of a popular actor, he made his debut in the Tamil film industry about two decades ago in Alaigal Oivathillai. Introduced by Bharathiraja, Karthick , son of yesteryear star Muthuraman, went on to take center- stage with movies like Ninaivellam Nithya, Nallavanuku Nallavan, Varsham 16, Kizhakku Vasal, Gopura Vasalilae, Agni Natchathiram, Nadodi Thendral and Ullathai Ali Tha.

Considered as a chocolate box hero in the early 80s, he received many an award including the Best New Face in 1980, Salamanca Award and the State government Award for Best Actor. However, this actor seems to have lost his way over the last few years.

His habits landed him in trouble. Almost after a year of hibernation, he is back with his new venture Manadhil. Asked on his come back, he says ''I am back to what I know is the best. I enjoy standing before the camera now. I will certainly bounce back''. ''To err is human. I am no God, I have committed some errors to which I now admit'', he said candidly.
