Kana Kanden Movie Preview: Srikanth As a Lover-Boy Again! After a series of action-packed roles, actor Srikanth now turns to his favourite - a romantic hero, in his next. Srikanth plays a heartthrob in Kana Kanden, a film being produced by Thenappan and directed by cinematographer-turned-director K V Anand.

Anand's debut directorial venture stars Gopika opposite Srikanth. A sought-after heroine in Kollywood following her stupendous show in Cheran's Autograph, Gopika has taken to a glamour role in the movie.

Srikanth, whose action-packed movies including Jhoot and Bose that took a beating at the box office in the last few months, has returned to play the lover-boy role in Kana Kandein.
Noted Malayalam actor Prithviraj plays the anti-hero role in the movie. On his debut venture in Tamil, Prithiviraj, says, 'I was keen on making my entry in Kollywood. When K V Anand narrated the story to me, I was impressed with the role, which promised more scope to perform. Without any hesitation, I grabbed the opportunity. I would say it is one of my best movies ever.' K V Anand says, 'all the credit should go to producer Thenappan, who gave me enough liberty and encouraged me to give my best on the screen. Srikanth, Gopika and Prithviraj have done justice to their roles.'

On music director Vidyasagar, Anand says, 'the real hero of the movie is music composer Vidyasagar. His melodious tunes would certainly add strength to the movie.' Cinematographer Soundararajan and choreographer Santhi too have done a commendable job, Anand adds.

The movie is expected to be released next month. The cast includes Vivek, Suresh, Ratan, Vanitha, Geethalakshmi, Amita, Lavanya, Shalini and Hema. A major portion of the movie was shot in a huge factory set put up on the beach shore near Uthandi.

'Kana Kandein will certainly help me re-establish my place in the industry. It's a emotional love story narrated in a gripping manner by Anand,' Srikanth says and adds: Following Kana Kandein I will be playing the hero in Oru Naal Oru Kanavu opposite Sonia Agrawal being directed by Fazil, which again is a soft romantic entertainer.
